Situated in a sheltered position on the banks of the river about 700 metres from the main house. Built of stone and local timber it consists of a large living/kitchen area with a wide sunny verandah at the front and a basic bathroom at the back. The cottage is powered bya 240 volt solar voltaic power system with gas cooker and hotwater. B athroom has a full-sized bath & septic toilet. An open fireplace heats the cottage during the colder months. River Cottage contains: 1 double and 1 single doona, 1 double and 2 single blankets and 5 pillows. A larger stone and mudbrick dwelling (sleeps 6-8 people) situated on a sheltered ridge 5 minutes walk from the river. It consists of a central living/kitchen area (futon couch sleeps 2) adjoined by a small sunroom. S leeps up to 3 couples, there is a small double bedroom, a futon couch bed in living room and 2 couch beds in a sunroom. The cottage is powered by a 240v Solar voltaic system, solar hotwater with gas booster and a full-sized gas stove. The cottage is supplied with: 2 double and a 2 single doona, 4 blankets and 6 pillows. Barbara’s Cottage is available for single night bookings. A fully self-contained unique, rammed-earth cottage situated beside the main house.It has an open fireplace, 240v (solar) power, gas stove, hot water system, small refrigerator and an en suite bathroom. Sleeps 2 couples (two double beds) with an additional single bed in shared room.
